NZET has designed a special, 5-day exploration of NZ's North Island for RSIC school delegations that incorporates a healthy mix of adventure, learning, and fun for students and adults alike. 

 

Tour highlights include: a museum visit and walking tour of Auckland, sightseeing and buffet dinner atop the iconic, 360 degree Sky Tower, Waitamo Glow Worm Caves Visit, Middle-earth and Hobbiton Movie Set Tour, Rotorua with its famous hot springs, boiling mud pools, and the Pohutu Geyser, Rainbow Springs Park Tour and Kiwi (NZ's iconic national bird) Encounter, Tamaki Maori Village - Evening Experience, Ngongotaha gondola and luge rides, finishing up with some time for relaxation at Cathedral Cove and the usually deserted Hot Water Beach, where it's possible to dig your own spa pool in the sand and relax in the natural springs.

Christ's College

Post Conference

Doesn’t include Flights to NZ. Where the post conference is linked to Scotch the attending schools will need to cover their accommodation costs before the tour starts (23rd/24th).

About: Adventurous and cultural trip of the top of the South Island of New Zealand, hosted by Christ's College and run by the Little Brown Kiwi company.

  • DAY ONE - We will lead a fun introductory session and prepare you for what to expect before you experience the powhiri. This will involve learning a waiata (song) and also experiencing the hongi. Travel North to Kaikoura for a formal traditional welcome - the powhiri - before staying overnight at a marae in a special location.

  • DAY TWO - After a unique first night at Takahanga Marae, we will make our way to the edge of Abel Tasman National Park - home to our hiking and kayaking expedition.In Kaikoura, you will be able to take part in amazing ocean-based activities such as Dolphin Swimming, Whale Watching or Surfing/Paddle Boarding...OR alternatively walk across the magnificent Kaikoura peninsula.

  • DAY THREE - adventure in the Abel Tasman National Park. We will kayak and walk to Anchorage where will set up camp after exploring the area. The following day you will switch to either kayaking or walking (whichever you didn’t do the previous day), completing the journey. Overnight

  • DAY FOUR - challenge, followed by a soak in the Hot Pools of Hanmer Springs, as well as riding the range of fun water slides at the facility. Take part in a white water rafting

  • DAY FIVE - We will say goodbye to Hanmer Springs and return to Christchurch with wonderful memories of your cultural and adventurous experiences in the top half of New Zealand’s South Island.
